One fine morning, boating through the great Vembanad Lake, thinking of all the good things nature offer to the human race for their well-being, I decided to keep my phone and diary on the boat's seat to sip on some water and talk to my fellow recce companion. We found some weird shit in the water bottle and started discussing about it and after some time, I went back to the seat for my phone, just to realize that my phone and diary jumped into the water for some deep diving adventure. It took me some time to accept that I lost my phone but surprisingly, I didn't feel like I actually lost something that I shouldn't have. My companion lost his shit while I continued enjoying the serenity of the place we were in. Losing my phone did cause me trouble in connecting to the world outside, it slowed my life down, just to make me realize how dependent I was on that little rectangle shaped object which connected me to the world outside but lessened my connection to the world inside, which is much vast and unexplored. Now, I have become very mindful on how, why and when I should be using a mobile phone and also, decided not to invest much money into it as I really didn't use a lot of functionalities that my lost phone had to offer. I did feel sad that I lost my diary as it had a lot of my writings, that I jotted down every now and then but gladly, I can write more. By losing my phone, I felt like stepping into another world of possibilities where phone just happens to be a supporting element and not a world in itself.
